What you'll see

Appointments page in Day view

The Appointments page consists of:

Header bar

  • ☰ button (left of the title): Opens the sidebar

  • Page title: "Appointments"

  • New Appointment button: Opens the New appointment dialog (see Booking a new appointment). Clicking an empty time on the calendar opens it with that time chosen.

  • Day / Week / Month: Switch the calendar view

  • Calendar and list icons: Show or hide the calendar panel and the list panel (both shown by default)

  • ⋮ menu: Refresh, Print Schedule, Export to CSV, Select Multiple (Day view) and Bulk Cancel (if you have the permission)

  • Search by patient: Narrow the page to one patient

  • Arrows and Today: Move between periods and back to today

Sidebar

The sidebar is hidden by default; open it with the ☰ button (the page remembers whether you left it open). It holds:

  • Mini calendar: Jump to a specific date

  • Statistics: "N Active Appointments" (every appointment in the period that is not cancelled, completed ones included) and "N Completed"

  • Filter options and Service types: See Using Appointment Filters

Main calendar area

  • Time grid: One row per hour. In Day view there is one column per service type.

  • Appointments: Displayed as coloured cards

  • Current time: Shown by a line in Day and Week view

List panel

Beside the calendar, the list panel shows the appointments in the period with their time, patient, service and status.

Appointment display

Each appointment card on the calendar shows:

  • Time

  • Patient name (with "+N" for other people in the booking)

  • Service (with "+N" for other services)

  • Confirmation code

The card's colour shows its status; the list panel shows the status as a dot and a label. Appointments outside the pharmacy's hours (after hours, a holiday closure or blocked time) carry an After Hours chip.

Statuses

  • Scheduled: Booked, patient not yet arrived

  • Confirmed: Booked and confirmed

  • Checked In: Patient has arrived and been checked in

  • In Progress: The appointment has been started

  • Completed: Service provided

  • No Show: Patient did not attend

  • Cancelled: Appointment cancelled

The status labels, not the colours, are the authoritative indicator of an appointment's state.

Quick actions

From the calendar, you can:

  • Click an appointment to view details

  • Create a new appointment with the button or by clicking an empty time

  • Navigate dates with the arrows, Today or the sidebar's mini calendar

  • Filter with the sidebar options

The side menu's calendar

The Calendar item in the side menu (Ctrl + Shift + C) opens a different screen: the pharmacy calendar.

Pharmacy calendar

It shows appointments together with staff schedules, blocked times, time off and operating hours. It has Today, arrows, and a date menu to choose Day, Week or Month. Its options let you choose which layers to show and filter by appointment status and staff member. When staff schedule matching is turned on, Coverage gaps only shows only the gaps in staff cover. Click an appointment to see its details, or right-click for more actions.
