In today’s fast-paced world, efficient and reliable shipping solutions are essential for healthcare providers to deliver critical medical supplies and documents. The Shipping Tool is an integral component of this process, offering a streamlined, user-friendly platform for creating, managing, and tracking shipments with ease. This article provides a comprehensive guide on how to utilize the Shipping Tool, ensuring that your packages reach their destinations safely and on time.

Step 1: Access the Shipping Tool

- Navigate to the Resources Section: On the left side of the page, you will find the Resources section. This area is designed to provide quick access to various tools and services.

- Select Shipping: Within the Resources section, locate and click on the Shipping button. This action will reveal a dropdown menu.

- Proceed with Shipping: From the dropdown menu, choose Shipping to move forward. This step takes you directly to the Shipping Tool, where you can begin the process of creating a new shipment.

Step 2: Search for a Patient

- Use the Search Bar: Within the Shipping Tool interface, locate the search bar. This feature is designed to help you quickly find patients in the system.

- Enter Patient Details: Type in the necessary details of the patient in the search bar. This could include their name, ID number, or other identifying information.

- Select the Patient: A list of names will appear based on your search criteria. Click on the appropriate patient’s name to proceed. This action opens a new window or tab dedicated to the shipping tool for that specific patient.

Step 3: Confirm Shipping Details

- Verify Sender and Recipient Information: In the new window or tab, ensure that the sender and recipient information, which is pre-filled based on the patient selected, is correct.

- Accuracy is Key: Double-check all details for accuracy to avoid any issues with the shipment.

Step 4: Select Shipping Options

- Review Shipping Options: The tool will present various shipping options, each varying by delivery time, cost, and other relevant factors.

- Make Your Selection: Based on your needs regarding delivery time and cost, select the most suitable shipping option.

- Proceed with Shipping: Click the Ship button to finalize your shipping option and move to the next step.

Step 5: Print and Attach the Shipping Label

- Generate Shipping Label: By clicking the Ship button, the system automatically generates a shipping label.

- Print the Label: Print out this label.

- Attach the Label: Securely attach the printed label to your package, ensuring it is clearly visible and properly affixed.

Step 6: Courier Service Notification

- Automatic Notification: The Shipping Tool automatically notifies the courier service of the new shipment.

- Courier Responsibilities: The courier will handle the pickup, delivery, and obtaining a signature from the recipient upon delivery, ensuring a smooth end-to-end shipping process.

Step 7: Manage Shipments

- View and manage your shipments: Navigate back to Phox and go to your Shipping List.

- Shipping List: Located in a dedicated area, provides a comprehensive view of all shipments you have sent out. From here, you can reprint labels or track the status of each shipment, checking whether it is in transit or has been delivered.

By following these steps, healthcare providers can efficiently use the Shipping Tool to ensure that critical shipments are handled with the utmost care and precision.
