What the step checks
The step is done when the store has at least one active weekly time slot in its general booking hours (not tied to one service), with no end date or one still to come. Without one, patients see no appointment times at your store. Booking hours for one service set by head office do not count here.
The quickest way
If patients can book whenever the store is open:
Go to Pharmacy settings and select Store hours under Store.
Set the hours for each day.
Tick Also update booking hours to match, then select Save.
This needs the Availability filters permission, and is not offered when head office manages your booking hours or sets them from a template. It sets one time slot per open day, open to every service. Your booking settings, such as slot length and buffer, are kept.
Setting them yourself
Select Set booking hours on the step, or go to Pharmacy settings and select Booking hours under Booking.
Set the weekly hours for each day you take appointments. Booking hours must fall within your store hours.
Select Save in the bar at the bottom of the page.
For days the store is closed or keeps different hours, such as a statutory holiday, use Holidays and closures, also under Booking.
Changing service hours needs the Availability Filters permission at the store, as well as access to Pharmacy settings. Pharmacy managers have both; without them the step has no button.
If you see "Set by head office"
Head office manages your store's weekly hours. Booking hours still shows, with a lock, and you can read it but not change it. Ask your head office to set the booking hours.
