What it controls

Patients booking online can create an account: they sign in with an emailed link or code, save their details, and manage family profiles. The Patient accounts section in Pharmacy settings decides whether patients booking at your pharmacy see those options.

  • On: the booking site offers "Already have an account?" and "Save your information" prompts, and signed-in patients see their account menu.

  • Off: the booking site shows no account or sign-in options for your pharmacy, and new sign-ins are refused. Patients can still book as guests exactly as before.

Turning accounts off never signs anyone out of an account they already hold elsewhere.

How to change it

  1. Open Settings (in the side menu or your profile menu)

  2. Choose Patient accounts under Patients in the section list

  3. Switch Allow patient accounts and sign-in on or off

  4. Click Save in the bar at the bottom of the page (changes are not applied until saved)

Changing it needs the Patient Booking Link permission; without it the section is View only.

"Turned off by Head Office"

Head Office has its own master switch for the whole organization. When it is off, your switch has no effect and the section says so. Only Head Office can turn accounts back on for the network; your pharmacy can then still opt out for itself.

If the section is marked Set by head office, Head Office manages this setting for your store. Contact them to change it.
