Step 2: Selecting a time

PHOXBook pharmacy portal (rx.phoxbook.ca): Choosing the date and start time, and optionally the pharmacist.

The date and time picker

  • Above the calendar: "Start times for 15 min · Store time, Toronto". Times are for the total length of the chosen services, in the store's own time zone, whatever the time on your computer.

  • The calendar: open days can be chosen; closed days are greyed out. Under it, "Bookable to Friday 6 November (30 days)." gives the last day you can book.

  • Start times are grouped Morning (before noon), Afternoon (noon to 5 PM) and Evening (5 PM on).

  • Times that have passed are hidden, with "Earlier times today have passed." above the times.

  • A dashed time is unavailable and cannot be chosen. The reason is written under its group, for example when a chosen service needs a qualified pharmacist and nobody at the store is qualified for it.

When you open Time without a date, the earliest open date is chosen for you. A follow-up opens on the date it is due ("Follow-up due ...").

When there is no time

  • No open times on the chosen date: the picker names the next open date with Go to that date.

  • Nothing is open in the booking window: no start time fits between now and the end of the window. Times appear when the store hours or the staff schedule open them.

  • Every time is unavailable: the reason is under each group and the button says "No time can be chosen on this date: every time is unavailable."

  • The store's time zone is not set: times cannot be shown. Ask your head office to add it, then open the dialog again; there is no need to reload the page.

Pharmacist, optional

  • Leave it empty for any available pharmacist.

  • Or pick a pharmacist from the list: each shows their name (or email) and their role at the store, such as Staff pharmacist.

  • When your pharmacy uses staff qualifications and a chosen service needs a qualified pharmacist, the list shows only pharmacists qualified for it ("Qualified for every chosen service"). A service that needs no qualification leaves everyone listed. When nobody on staff is qualified for such a service, the list is empty and says so.

A time chosen on the calendar

If you opened the dialog by clicking an empty time on the Appointments or Pharmacy calendar, the rail shows that time as Chosen on the calendar, with Change time to pick another. If that day has reached its daily booking limit, you are asked to choose another date.

If the time changes under you

  • The time passed while the dialog was open: you are brought back to Time to choose another.

  • The time filled up: when you continue, the time is checked again; when you confirm, it is checked once more. If someone else took the last place, you are brought back to Time with "... filled up while you were booking. Choose another time." What you entered on the other steps is kept.

A full time cannot be booked: there is no override.
