The patient
First name and last name: any letters, including accents, plus spaces, hyphens and apostrophes; at least 2 characters.
Date of birth: type it as
YYYY-MM-DD. The age shows beside the field.Gender: Male, Female, Other or Prefer not to say.
Sex assigned at birth: asked only when a chosen service needs it.
If the patient was found in Find Patient or Appointment or opened from their profile, these are already filled in.
Finding the patient in your dispensing system
When your pharmacy has patient linking on and one person is on the booking, Find in dispensing system opens a search right in the dialog:
Type at least 3 letters of the first or last name, then Search
Compare the results: each is scored against what you typed
Click Use this patient to fill the empty fields from the record
The booking is linked to that record when it is made. Remove drops the link. If the record's contact details could not be loaded, enter an email or phone on the last step.
More than one person
Add person adds a family member, up to six. "6 of 6 people, the most on one booking" means the booking is full.
Each person has a chip at the top with their service count. Click a chip to work on that person.
The same name, gender and date of birth twice is flagged on the fields, the chip and the rail. Change the details or remove the extra person.
A booking for more than one person is not linked to a dispensing-system record.
Choosing services
Search by service or category, or scroll the list grouped by category.
Tick a service to add it for the person whose chip is selected. In a One per person category, a second pick replaces the first, with Undo.
A greyed-out service shows why: an age rule ("65 and over"), a gender rule, or Not booked here (blocked by Head Office; open it to read the message for the patient).
Waitlist · 18 of 20: waitlist-only at your pharmacy. It goes to the waitlist with no time.
Opened from a waitlist entry, Book again, Book dose 2 or a follow-up, the list shows only that service, and a line says why.
There are no bundles and no age recommendations: the list shows what your pharmacy offers and whether this person can have it.
Eligibility and screening, read to the patient
The rail lists each chosen service under the person it is for, with its questions:
Eligibility · read to the patient: choose the answer the patient gives.
Screening · read to the patient: record Yes or No for each question.
An answer that rules the patient out blocks that service; remove it or change the answer. On a narrower screen the questions fold into one line with Review, which opens them.
If the eligibility check is unavailable, you can continue; confirm the age and province rules with the patient.
Next step
Click Continue to time. If every chosen service is waitlist-only, there is no Time step and the button reads Continue to contact and consent.
