Emails your pharmacy receives about patient bookings

PHOXBook pharmacy portal (rx.phoxbook.ca): Your store is emailed whenever a patient books, reschedules or cancels an appointment online.

What you receive

Three kinds of notice, all sent to your pharmacy's email address:

  • New appointment booked: who booked, which service(s), the date and time, the confirmation code and the patient's contact details.

  • Appointment rescheduled: the previous and the new date and time.

  • Appointment cancelled: the appointment that was cancelled and the reason the patient gave, if any.

Each email has an Open in PhoxBook button that takes you straight to the appointment in the portal.

When they are sent

Only for actions the patient takes on the booking site or through their "Manage appointment" link. Appointments you create, move or cancel yourself in the portal do not email your store, because you already know.

The patient's own notification preferences do not affect these emails. A patient who chose to be texted still generates an email to your pharmacy.

Where the address comes from

The email goes to the address on your pharmacy's record in Head Office (the Email field on the pharmacy form). If that field is empty, no email is sent and nothing else changes. Ask Head Office to set or correct it.

Not covered yet

  • A patient moving their appointment to a different store does not yet notify either store.

  • The emails are in English.
