Prerequisites

Before starting, ensure Zebra Browser Print is installed on the workstation and the Zebra printers are connected.

Part 1: Configure Zebra Browser Print

  1. Set a Default Printer

    1. Open Zebra Browser Print application

    2. Click "Find" to discover available printers

    3. Select any printer and set it as the default (doesn't matter which one)

  2. Enable Search Options

    1. Ensure "Driver Search" is selected/checked

    2. Ensure "Broadcast Search" is selected/checked

Part 2: Configure Printers in PHOX

  1. Open PHOX Settings

    1. Navigate to gsp.phox.app in your browser

    2. Click on your Avatar (profile icon) in the top corner

    3. Select "Settings" from the menu

    4. Click on "Printers"

  2. Allow Browser Print Access

The first time you visit this page, a popup will appear asking to allow access to Browser Print settings. Click "Yes" or "Allow" to permit the connection. This allows PHOX to communicate with Zebra Browser Print via localhost port 9100.

  3. Refresh and Assign Printers

    1. Click the "Refresh" button to discover available printers

    2. You will see a list of printer IDs (e.g., 605, 606, etc.)

    3. For each printer ID, click "Test Print" to see which physical printer it corresponds to

    4. Assign each printer to its correct label type using the dropdown (e.g., Vial, Bottle, etc.)

Part 3: Verify Setup

  1. Go to Printers menu

  2. Select "ZPL Orientation Test"

  3. Click "Available" (may need to click twice on first attempt)

  4. Verify the correct printer is shown in the dropdown for each label type

  5. Click the test button to print a sample label

  6. Confirm the label prints correctly and looks good

Notes

• Printers can be installed in any order—just identify which is which using the test print

• All printer settings have been pre-configured to match existing pharmacy setups

• If labels don't print correctly, contact the tech team for assistance
